Vaccinating your family for the upcoming school year can be costly, but there's an alternative to the clinic that can save you some cash.
The Marathon County Health Department offers a number of vaccinations, everything from the Tetanus and Whooping Cough shot to the Chicken Pox Vaccine.
They give them to people 18 and under, there are even some for adults.
The shots can cost more than a hundred dollars at a clinic, depending on where you go and what you get.
But at the Health Department, most of them cost just $7.
"Make those appointments now, because we do have availability in our clinics right now, but come the end of August and beginning of September it's really going to fill up," Carrie Sickler, R.N.
To make an appointment call the Health Department.
