GIRLS STATE HOCKEY: Storm Lose Heartbreaker in OT

In a matchup of the top two ranked girls hockey teams in the state, the hometown Central Wisconsin Storm lost to Bay Area 2-1 in overtime.

The #1-ranked Bay Area Ice Bears jumped out to a 1-0 lead with 1:47 to play in the first period on a goal by Courtney Wittig.

The score remained the same, until the second-ranked Storm got a power play goal from Savannah Felch 5-minutes into the third period.

The game went into overtime, and 1:52 into the extra period, Wettig again beat Lisa Fowle for a 2-1 Bay Area overtime win.

Both teams had 18 shots on goal.

The Ice Bears move onto play Onalaska in Saturday's championship game.

The Storm wrap up their season at 22-5-1.
