A 37-year-old man accused of avoiding prosecution for 1993 sexual assault case in Dane County was arrested last week in Stevens Point.
Online court records show Salvador Villalobos missed his court date on August, 12 1993 and has been on the run ever since.
According to the Stevens Point Journal, Villalobos was arrested in Friday night for a burned out taillight. Villalobos reportedly gave police a false name, but a fingerprint scan confirmed his identity and warrant.
Villalobos was charged Wednesday in Dane County Circuit Court with 1st degree sexual assault, false imprisonment, and 4th degree sexual assault.
He's behind bars on a $9,000 cash bond.
