GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- A cat that nearly froze to death last month in Green Bay lost part of its ear and will probably lose much of its tail. But its rescuer is optimistic that Tundra will survive and can be adopted at some point.

Tundra is a gray and white domestic longhair. He appears to be between 4 and 6 years old.

He was found on a porch in the Luxemburg area last month. The temperature ranged from 4 degrees to minus 12. His paws and the tip of its ear were frostbitten.

Now veterinarians say he'll probably lose part of his tail.

Carol Longton of Green Bay has been helping take care of Tundra. She says the important thing is he's loved and well cared for.
