Free Concert Saturday Celebrates Public Schools

We've heard a lot lately about public schools. From how the expansion of private school vouchers could affect them, to funding. To celebrate public schools, Middle Wisconsin is putting on a free concert Saturday afternoon at Wausau's Downtown 400 Block.

Four bands will take the stage when the event starts at noon. They are Neato Faneato, Orlow & The CWB, The Remnants and Limited Methods. There are also kids' activites, guest speakers and food vendors.

Once again, the free concert starts at noon at Wausau's Downtown 400 Block.

While there are expansions to private school vouchers in Governor Scott Walker's budget, public schools also got an increase. The Governor says about $150 per student over the next two years. He says he negotiated with both the Senate and Assembly to add more money for public schools to allow for expansion of the Choice Program.
