A 19-year-old Medford man accused of stealing credit card information from customers where he worked has now been formally charged.
Nicholas Johnson is charged with six counts of fraudulently using a credit card for more than $10,000. He's also charged with 59 counts of identity theft.
Investigators say it happened while Johnson worked at the AmericInn hotel in Medford late last year.
A Medford newspaper cites a criminal complaint stating Johnson used customer credit card numbers to pay tuition and insurance bills. An alert customer notified police and an investigation led to Johnson's arrest.
Johnson is free on a $15,000 signature bond. If convicted on all counts, he faces a maximum sentence of more than 400 years in prison.
