A 22-year-old Rhinelander man is facing four counts of burglary after he's accused of entering four garages during the early morning hours of Nov. 22.
According police, vigilant neighbors noticed footprints the snow leading from their garages to other garages in the neighborhood. Police arrived on scene and were able to locate a shoe print in the snow with the visible word “GLOBE”.
Investigators tracked the footprints less than one mile away to a home on Dorr Street. Police arrested Kevin Kurek on a probation hold.
According to court documents, Kurek's shoe match a print recovered at the scene.
At the time of the incident report, the homeowners were unsure if any thing had been taken from their garages, but did report the garages had been gone through. One of the homeowners said the garage belonged to his recently deceased father and he would not be able to identify if any items had been stolen.
