Even though the weather was a bit rainy Saturday morning, it didn't stop students and staff from the Aber Suzuki Center at UWSP from taking part in a special musical performance at the Stevens Point Farmers Market. They broke out violins and cellos for a musical flash mob at 10:45 a.m. on the dot, while surprised shoppers looked on.
"We've been focusing on music being a gift to the community...and we thought this would be a great way to highlight that point," says Pat D'Ercole, Director at Aber Suzuki.
The flash mob was even somewhat of a surprise for the students who took part. D'Ercole says they only knew that it was going to be a special event and were told what to wear, where to gather, and to bring their instruments to take part.
