Fire up the Crock Pot: Glazed Pork Loin Recipe

NewsChannel 7's Hannah Anderson had viewer Melissa Ann Darr in to share a recipe on Sunrise 7 Sunday.

Balsamic Glazed Pork Loin Recipe:

1 (2-3 lb) boneless pork loin
1 tsp ground sage
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 clove garlic, minced or crushed
1/2 cup water


1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons soy sauce

Combine the sage, salt, pepper, and garlic, and rub it on all sides of the pork loin. Place in slow cooker, add ½ cup of water, cover, and cook on low 6-8 hours.

To make the glaze, combine all glaze ingredients, and cook together over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens.

During the last hour of cooking, brush the loin with the glaze 2-3 times. To serve, pull or slice pork, drizzle with more glaze, and serve with the remaining glaze on the side.
