The Colby Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire at Packaging Corporation of America in Colby. Crews responded to the scene at 9:18 a.m. Monday.
According to press release from the Colby Fire Chief Ross Rannow, the fire was in a finished product warehouse. Chief Rannow said the fire was contained to a 75'x125' room and did not spread to the manufacturing facility.
Corrugated boxes stored in the room were to be used for food products, and are destroyed due to their intended purpose and the amount of smoke damage the boxes sustained.
There is no damage to the building and no one was injured.
