Fire Damages Rosholt Bar, Fan To Blame
A Portage County bar is destroyed after a Sunday morning fire near the city’s downtown.
Six different fire crews, including the Rosholt and Stevens Point Fire Departments responded to. Flume Creek Bar in Rosholt around 3:30 this morning.
The response came after a passerby saw flames coming from the side of the building.
Rosholt Fire Department Fire Chief Chris Kluck says there were people in the bar for most of the night. “There were people here until about two this morning, and they shut off the large fan on the wall. About an hour later, they saw flames coming from the side of the building."
The chief says the fire began near the kitchen area where the large vent was located.
No one was hurt in the fire.
