The Mosinee Fire Department is trying to figure out what caused a fire at a duplex early Sunday afternoon.
Crews were called to a home off Wisconsin St. shortly after noon. Firefighters tell NewsChannel 7 one of the residents was arriving at the duplex when she noticed the fire. She then notified the other residents and they evacuated.
Lt. Josh Wiese says the damage to the duplex is moderate.
"We showed up on scene, we had light smoke coming out of the eaves and out of some of the windows. A resident on the other side extinguished most of it with a garden hose and our fire crews came into the building and they extinguished the rest of it."
Lt. Wiese says there was no structural damage to the duplex from what they can see.
