A house is a total loss in unity after a fire broke Saturday around 10:15 p.m. on 5221 East Salter Road in Unity, Wis.
Crews fought the fire for 5.5 hours in Unity, which is located south of Abbotsford near highway 13.
Spencer Fire Department First Assistant Chief Joe Scidmore said when crews showed up to the house, the garage was totally engulfed in flames and half of the house was too.
He said people were home at the time the fire broke, but everyone got out safely and no injuries were reported.
Scidmore said it is believed the fire started in the garage and went into the house, and a fire in a crawl space was difficult to extinguish.
Spencer Fire Department received aid from Colby Fire Department and Abbotsford Fire Department.
Crews are still monitoring the scene for hot spots.
The fires cause is still under investigation.
