Baseball season is underway and for the Wisconsin Woodchucks, Friday's home opener will be a special occasion. Crews have been working for months on renovations to Athletic Park.
"My jaw is dragging on the ground, its truly amazing."
Everyone is in awe of the changes to Athletic Park in Wausau. Some are especially impressed with seating just 35 feet from home plate.
"They just love the game and they want to be right on top of every pitch," Mark Macdonald, Owner said, "and they're going to want to sit here."
Mark Macdonald is the owner of the Wisconsin Woodchucks and he's excited to unveil the new Athletic Park on Friday night. But its more than just a game. Mark hopes the renovations will better your overall experience.
"More entertainment value for the fans, for every fan, general admission holder and the luxury box ticket owner," Mark said, "they'll see throughout the stadium, there's more for them to see."
The renovations are on schedule to be completed before the home opener on May 30th. General admission tickets are still available and will cost you $6.
