Fey Printing of Wisconsin Rapids received the Best of Show award at the Great Lakes Graphics Association’s annual Graphics Excellence Awards celebration on June 12, 2012 in Delavan. Over 1,000 entries were submitted from printers across Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana. The GLGA is one of the largest printing trade organizations in the country.
The winning entry, a business to business promotional campaign, was produced for Neenah Paper of Alpharetta, GA and designed by Design Army of Washington, DC. With 12 individual pieces included in the kit, judges commented that the visual impact was overwhelming as Fey Printing was able to produce a variety of extremely difficult custom printed pieces to create a complete message.
This is the sixth consecutive year that Fey Printing has won an award for each project submitted. Carrie Otto, Print Production Manager at Neenah Paper said “We have come to rely heavily on Fey Printing and they continue to exceed our expectations by producing high quality pieces on time and on budget. Our working relationship with them has become a true partnership which will continue for years to come.”
“We’ve been honored to receive high recognition among Wisconsin printers, but the addition of Illinois and Indiana made the road to the top even steeper,” said Scott Gasch, president of Fey Printing. “A major component of our success is the important relationship between client, designer and printer. Neenah Paper and Design Army are a dream to work with, and it’s obvious they recognize the importance of great design,” he added.
2012 marks Fey Printing’s 80th year of continuous operation in Wisconsin Rapids. Known for producing complex print projects, Fey Printing’s extensive in-house capabilities are what allow for a smooth transition from concept to completion. According to the judges, every element of this entry contributed to its overall excellence and complimented what could be done with a piece of paper. Said Gasch, “It’s easy to do great work with great design.”
