According to a press release from the Shawano Police Dept., a crash between a semi and passenger truck happened late Thursday afternoon.
Shawano police officers were dispatched to S. Airport Drive and County Hwy. B around 3 p.m Thursday.
Following an investigation, officers determined the passenger truck was westbound on County Hwy. B and failed to stop for a stop sign. The truck collided with a northbound semi tractor-trailer.
The driver and lone occupant of the passenger truck, identified as William Aderman, 69, of Shawano, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Shawano County Coroner.
The driver and lone occupant of the semi had minor injuries and was treated and released from Shawano Medical Center.
The crash caused the intersection to be closed for approximately 2 1/2 hours.
The crash remains under investigation. No charges are expected to be filed.
