Farming certainly plays a crucial roll in the Wisconsin economy. The new 'Farm to Table' Art exhibit at the Center for Visual Arts in Wausau highlights just that.
Artist Craig Blietz is trained as a figure painter. His models are not human, but livestock.
In his new collection, Blietz highlights micro farming near his home in Door County. His paintings feature rural animals like cows and goats.
"What it's done for me is bring a presence of the animals that are used for the raising of the food," Blietz told NewsChannel 7.
It took Blietz about two years to complete the collection. You can catch the exhibit for free at the CVA from June 6th, 2014 until August 2nd, 2014.
