Family Offers Reward in 2001 Hunter Death

The family of a hunter shot and killed in Clark County 11 years ago is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

Relatives of James Southworth are hoping the $50,000 reward will lead to a new break in the case. The 37-year-old Southworth was shot in the back while hunting alone near Chili on Nov. 23, 2001.

Sheriff's officials are looking for a pickup that was parked near the spot where Southworth's body was found. The truck was described by witnesses as being silver, gray or off-white with a possible light tan, beige or off-white stripe along the side. Investigators want to interview three men who were seen standing around the truck about noon on the day Southworth was killed.
