Families Invited to Halloween Fun Saturday in Tomahawk

Families are invited to downtown Tomahawk this weekend for Halloween family fun.

Trick-or-Treating takes place from 2 pm to 4 pm, coinciding with Tomahawk's trick-or-treating times from 2 pm to 5 pm.

Tomahawk Cinema, located at 17 W. Wisconsin Avenue will offer two free matinees of “Brave” at 11 am and again at 2pm. Last year, Tomahawk Main Street offered only one free matinee and the event was sold out one hour prior.

Striker's Bowling alley, located at 309 W. Wisconsin Avenue will transform in to “Ghoulish Lanes".

Tomahawk Main Street Executive Director Liz Milender, says attendance over the last two years has more than doubled, establishing Downtown Tomahawk as the venue to celebrate Halloween.

Most downtown businesses participate in the trick-or-treating event and some offer additional in-store activities. Each year, Bambino's Pizza & Grill offers its "Spooktakular" lunch buffet for from 11 am to 2 pm for a fee. Brown Barn Bath Company is holding its second Halloween Pet Costume Contest.

Tomahawk Leader hosts a pumpkin decorating and carving contest, both for the public and a separate competition for area businesses. The winning pumpkins will be displayed in the Tomahawk Main Street front window, 225 West Wisconsin.
