Mother's Day morning families flocked to the Greenwood Hills to spend brunch with their mothers and grandmothers. Families were able to enjoy luxury dining, and every mother received a complimentary single red rose.
Helen Brenton, a mother of four, said today was extra special for her. "We've been here at Greenwood Hills enjoying a wonderful buffet," said Brenton, "And we're off to the airport very soon to pick up our granddaughter and our great granddaughter coming from Washington state."
Mothers like Brenton had nothing but great things to say about the brunch at Greenwood Hills.
"This is my first year coming here, and it was delicious," said Nita Logemann, a mother of four, "I hope my son asks me back another year."
Greenwood offered a variety of foods including lobster bisque soup and shrimp cocktail with a side bar of delicious deserts. They even offered Mother's Day drink specials at the bar.
Of course reservations have to be made in advance, and there's a small fee to pay per person. One waitress explained that Greenwood Hills has been hosting the Mother's Day brunch for over a decade now.
"I think this is the end of it now after lunch," said Logemann, "But I'm gonna go buy some dirt and play in the dirt with my flowers."
