It's becoming an incredibly powerful crime fighting tool-- Facebook. And law enforcement in central Wisconsin has had some luck making arrests in unsolved crimes.
On July 26, the Antigo Police Department posted a photo on their Facebook page of suspect they believe had stolen and used credit cards belonging to someone else to make $800 worth of withdrawals.
The department received an anonymous tip that the suspect was Derek Cline, 19.
Investigators interviewed Cline who admitted to getting drunk and entering a garage on Sunset Drive. According to the criminal complainant, Cline said he took the wallet and drove to Wausau, making withdrawals at two locations.
Derek Cline is charged with burglary and two counts of using someone else's ID to get money.
Cline is free on a $1,000 signature bond and will return to court next month.
