It's a way for you to stay informed with your local fire department, all with the click of a button.

The Wausau Fire Department's Facebook page serves as a way to get information out to the public quickly.

You simply "like" the page to stay informed on your Facebook newsfeed.

"It's a good tool for people to understand what we're doing," says Josh Finke, EMS Division Chief with the Wausau Fire Department. "It's a way for them to be forewarned of some training were doing in their neighborhood, or if there's a large incident in their neighborhood."

Wausau is not the only fire department in our area to create a Facebook page. Stevens Point, Merrill, Antigo, and Wisconsin Rapids are just a few we found. To see if your community has one, simply log on to Facebook and search for the page.
