It's a program that's designed to reassure us that dairy farmers raise and care for their animals in a humane and ethical manner. It's called Farmers Reassuring Responsible Management program.
The Marathon County Dairy Agent, Dr. Heather Schlesser, stopped by NewsChannel 7 at Noon on Thursday to talk about the program. You can learn more about it, by watching the video above.
The program started in 2009. The program promotes the use of best management practices, conducts second-party evaluation and confirms that producers are providing appropriate care for their animals through third-party verification.
