Valentine's Day is a day to celebrate the people you love and cherish the most. Sometimes love can be complicated though. For kids at Franklin Elementary School, figuring it out is quite simple. The first step is finding the right person.

"It's someone who you know, that is special, giving you something that is you know, kind of special," says Ada Ernst, a first grader at the school.

After you find the right person, there are a handful of love lessons including doing nice things for the people you care about, showing affection and giving them nicknames.

In the end, you must always follow your heart.

"You should give people what they really want," says Kaden Linder who is also a first grader. "And you should do it out of love."
