Getting back into a routine before school starts is important to help your child feel prepared.
Schedules can be hectic when the school year finally rolls around, so experts say now, during summer, is the time to start easing back into a routine.
Starting some kind of a bedtime about a week or more before school starts, helps with the process. If your kids are having a hard time with this, things that can be helpful are quiet time before bed, darkening their rooms and limiting electronics.
Preparing your children physically is important, but also mentally. Recognizing that back to school time is a stressful time for kids and talking about it with them will help them have a positive attitude.
