Fire departments from the Town of Easton, Town of Hewitt, Birnamwood and the Langlade County Rural Fire Department are at the scene of a fire at 4868 Bear Lake in Aniwa, which is just west of the Langlade County line.
Crews were paged to the scene around noon Monday for the report of a structure fire.
Our reporter on scene says the backside of the home is destroyed, but firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to the attached garage.
No one was home when the fire started. It was called in a person driving by who saw smoke from the road.
A cause is still under investigation.
