EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (AP) -- Eau Claire police say the driver who crashed into City Hall was under the influence of drugs.
The 42-year woman was not seriously injured when she crashed into a side entrance of the building Tuesday about 5:30 p.m. Police arrested her on probable charges of operating under the influence-third offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Salina Heller was working in the office on the other side of the wall at the time of the crash. Heller tells WEAU-TV the impact sounded like an explosion. Heller says she would have used that door to leave work, but fortunately was working late Tuesday.
Part of the building entrance landed on top of the car.
