Colby Cheese Days

Friday, July 13, 2012 – Sunday, July 15, 2012
Events include an ATV pull, parade, street dances, tractor pull, midway rides, plenty of free Colby cheese, Chariots of Cheese 5K/10K races, 1 mile kids run, cheese curd throwing conteset, down-home cooking and refreshments.
Jamison Kampmeyer Memorial Run is Saturday, July 14.

40th Annual Iola Old Car Show and Swap Meet

Thursday, July 12, 2012 – Sunday, July 15, 2012
Midwest’s largest Old Car Show held annually the 2nd weekend of July. Feature exhibit this year will be “21st Century Orphans” A tribute to Plymouth, Oldsmobile, Mercury and Pontiac. Other show cars 1981 and older will be classified as Post-War, Pre-War, Modified, All-Original and Blue Ribbon Concours. The show has a “Teamed to Learn” education tent, 4,430 Swap Meet Spaces, Car Corral area with vehicles 2000 and older. Great food and camping is available. Daily Admission $8.00, Weekend $15.00, Age 10 and under are free. Car Club day on Sunday and this is also free for spectators -- Sunday is our wrap-up day.

35th Annual Hodag Country Festival

Thursday, July 12, 2012 – Sunday, July 15, 2012
The Town of Pine Lake changed the fire number of the Hodag Festival Grounds to 4270 River Road.
However, GPS systems have not kept up with this change at this time. Therefore, please point your GPS device to the old address you see below in the Google Map (5476 River Road, Rhinelander, WI) in order to be directed straight to the Festival Grounds.

The International Canoe Federation’s 2012 Junior Canoe Slalom World Championships are underway today on the Wisconsin River in downtown Wausau, Wisconsin, USA. The world’s best young paddlers from 27 countries are competing.

Chalkfest

Saturday- 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. And Sunday- 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Held at the 400 Block in Downtown Wausau
Community event for artists of all ages and levels of ability.

A shuttle service is available to transport spectators between ChalkFest, Balloon Rally, Big Bull Fall BBQ Rib Fest and the Kayak Races.
