Dog Tossed onto Busy Highway now up for Adoption

According to the Marathon County Humane Society's website, a dog tossed onto a busy highway and rescued by a passerby is now available for adoption.

Police say a witness saw the door of a pick up on I-39 open and the dog, named Loki tossed out last month. Loki followed the truck for a quarter mile until a good Samaritan caught up to him and took him to the Marathon County Humane Society.

The MCHS held on to the dog for a while to make sure the owner had a chance to claim their dog, in case he ran away or was taken from his home.

It's website says Loki is a loving, but does not get along with other dogs.
