The Humane Society of Marathon County is asking you to be on the lookout for a dog named Rosie. It says she was stolen from the shelter just before 12:45 Thursday afternoon.

HSMC says the pup was stolen by a slender blonde woman. She is estimated to be in her 30's with glasses. According to a shelter Facebook post, the woman went up to Rosie's kennel, ripped off her kennel card and let Rosie out. While staff responded, the woman went out into the parking lot, loaded the dog into her vehicle and drove off.

The vehicle is described as a grey PT-Cruiser type style with license plate 636-PCC. If you have any information, please call the shelter at 715-845-2810.
