When Dave Kallaway started Disco Cures Cancer 15 years ago, he thought it’d only be a two or three year gig, but it turned out to be more important than anyone ever thought.
WIFC’s Disco Cures Cancer is a party for a touching cause. The dance is aimed at raising funds for people who may not be able to afford cancer treatment. This year, they’ve learned how to boost the atmosphere to increase donations more than ever before.
Dave continues, “We learned that people want to just dance. The music is really the spotlight of this whole thing and the disco era has so much great music. This year though, we cut out all the filler and its just 5 hours of pure dancing.”
They’ve got a new venue this year to hold the expected 1,200 guests at the Rothschild Pavilion.
