Deadly House Fire in Forest County

A 66-year old Forest County man is dead after an early morning house fire Thursday.

Forest County Dispatch received multiple 911 calls of a structure fire in the Township of Laona around 2:20am. Deputies from the Forest County Sheriff's Office along with area fire departments responded. Upon arrival, the home was already engulfed. Deputies learned the owner's vehicle was still at the home.

The State Fire Marshall was called to the scene and upon his arrival the body of 66-year old Edward Breaker was located inside.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The investigation is being conducted by the State of Wisconsin Fire Marshall's Office.
