One of three people charged in connection to the death of a mentally disabled man from Dane County will head to trial.

Robert McCumber, 28, is charged with hiding a corpse and remains behind bars on a $100,000 cash bond in the death of Matthew Graville.

McCumber told investigators Graville's half-brother, Jeffrey Vogelsberg ordered him to put Graville's body in a freezer, then Vogelsberg, buried the body near Lone Rock four days later.

McCumber is the owner of the land where Graville's body was found on November 5. Investigators say McCumber took them to the spot.

Graville was last seen on June 20 in Dane County. Sheriff Dave Mahoney tells WMTV-TV, Graville died on July 12.

A criminal complaint says McCumber told police Vogelsberg had badly beaten Graville on June 30 and that he found him dead the next morning. Prosecutors say the developmentally disabled victim was repeatedly tortured by Vogelsberg.

Vogelsberg was arrested in Washington and is expected to be charged with 1st Degree Intentional Homicide and hiding a corpse.

Graville's stepmother, Laura Robar, is facing charges. They say she used his identity to purchase food stamps.

The Sheriff's Department says Graville had Asperger's Syndrome.
