NEKOOSA, Wis. (AP) -- Executives at Nekoosa Coated Products says they are partnering with a Texas company to buy the specialty papermaker.

Nekoosa CEO Paul Charapata and other executives will invest their own money along with Wingate Partners, of Dallas, to buy the plant in central Wisconsin from Dunsirn Partners, of Appleton.

Charapata tells the Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune the partnership will allow the company to diversify and find new manufacturing capabilities. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The company currently has about 90 employees. Executives expect to hire additional workers in the next year to 16 months.
