The DNR is trying to figure out what caused a wildfire in Lincoln County Sunday.
It happened just before 4 near County Road M and Elm Grove Road in the Town of Corning. Lincoln County Deputies say firefighters found an acre of a field burning when they arrived on scene. Crews were on scene for nearly 3 hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but deputies say it may have started from a controlled burn that was not fully extinguished.
