The Marathon County Medical Examiner's Office transported the body of a deceased victim of an early morning Monday fire that happened in Green Acres Trailer Park in Weston.

A press release from the Everest Metropolitan Police Department said the victim has not been identified due to the condition of the remains. DNA testing will be used to confirm identification.

Based on witness statements, the release said it is believed that the victim lived in the trailer and was the mother of two teen girls.

The teens, along with an 18-year-old male were able to escape the residence while it was fully engulfed in flames early Monday morning. The male sustained minor injuries to his hands, as he had to break a window to exit the home, according to the press release.

The origin and cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The release said due to extremely cold temperatures and extensive damage, the investigator's processing of the scene may not be completed until Tuesday.
