History came alive Thursday at D.C. Everest Junior High as the school held its annual history day.
Eight grade students had a chance to research and present about a historical topic of their choice. Former teacher and World War II veteran Bob Coleman served as one of the judges for the event and said he was thrilled to see kids learning about history.
“I was an English teacher for 48 years but I was interested in history and knowing how important history is in knowing that if we don't learn from it we will suffer the result of it."
An awards ceremony will be held Thursday at 7:00.
