D.C. Everest Falls Short in D1 Title Game

In their first trip to the state tournament the D.C. Everest soccer team is going for gold in the Division 1 state title game.
Their opponent, Divine Savior Holy Angels has a bit more experience, the dashers are making their fifth appearance in the last seven seasons.

Opening minutes of the match its the Dashers striking first with Maria Kass booting one right over the head of Meuret, Evergreens down 1-nill

Little later its the Dashers with another good look but Meuret makes a big save here to keep the evergreens within 1.

Evergreens with just 2 shots in the half but none closer than this one by Bri Widmer that just sails over the top of the net.

In the second half Evergreens able to turn up the attack, but they just are never able to get one past the Dashers keep as the Evergreens
fall in the Division 1 State Championship 1-0.
