At around 8:30 Saturday evening, crews were called to South 17th Avenue, near the McCleary Bridge in Wausau for a head-on collision.
Authorities on scene say two vehicles were involved and one person was transported to a hospital for their injuries. There's no word on a cause of the crash yet, but alcohol is not believed to be a factor. The crash remains under investigation. Both the north and southbound lanes were closed for about 20 minutes. There's no word on the extent of the injuries.
