The Wood County Sheriff's Department has released the names of the victim's in Wednesday fatal fire in Wood County. According to a news release, William Heiser, Sr. ,79, his wife, Janet, 72 and their son, William Heiser, Jr., 38, died in the fire.

The Wood County sheriff's department says the fire apparently started around the garage. They say the blaze appears to have been accidental.

The Wood County Coroner, Garry Kronstedt tells NewsChannel 7 three people have died in an early morning fire in Wood County. Kronstedt says an elderly couple and their adult son were killed. The sheriff's office says the victims were a 79-year-old man, a 72-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man.

Firefighters were called to the home on Fisher Road in the Town of Sigel, which is north of Wisconsin Rapids around 2:30 am Wednesday morning.

Eight fire departments were called to the scene along with the Wood County Sheriff's Department.

A Wisconsin Rapid's newspaper is reporting the roof collapsed when crews first arrived.
