The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department has released the name of a 46-year-old Tomahawk man who died after an apparent drowning Sunday afternoon.
Deputies say David Lewicki was on a pontoon boat on Spirt Lake, southwest of Tomahawk, when he jumped off to save his dog.
Witnesses said when Lewicki reached the animal the two struggled and Lewicki went underwater.
His body was found about around 6:30 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a 67 year old Tomahawk man who drowned Sunday on the Spirit Flowage.
According to a press release, shortly before 4:30 p.m. Sunday the department received a call reporting a man who had gone missing off of a pontoon boat in the town of Tomahawk.
A witness told deputies the man had been out on the pontoon boat and went into the water help a dog. When the man reached the dog, the two struggled and the man disappeared beneath the surface.
The man was located by a rescue boat two hours later in about 5 and a half feet of water.
The victim who is originally from the Milwaukee area was pronounced dead on the scene by the Lincoln County coroner.
The man's name is not being released pending notification of family members.
