UPDATE: May 10th, 2014 2:15 PM

Fire crews say a house and shed are a total loss after a grass fire spread out of control on Aniwa.

The mother of the homeowner tells NewsChannel 7 the homeowners lost their trailer to a tornado a few years back and are now losing their home again.

Crews were called to 4553 Bear Lake Rd.around 12:00 PM Saturday afternoon. What started as a grass fire rapidly spread to a nearby shed and house.

Birnamwood Fire Chief Randy Berger tells NewsChannel 7 the fire doesn't appear to be suspicious, but they still don't know what sparked it. He warns if you plan on having a controlled burn, be extra careful because the grass is still very dry.

"Just watch out for burning grass right now. Conditions are fairly dry even though we had a lot of rain the last couple, last week or so, it's just still dry out with the grass."

There's no word yet on how many acres of grass were burnt during the fire.
