A 20-year-old man is facing seven drug charges after employees at the Best Western in Crandon found a man inside a hotel room after the parties booking it had checked out.
On August 22, the hotel's manager noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the second floor. Inside one of the rooms, Police located a man laying on the bed surrounded by drug paraphernalia.
According to the criminal complaint, the man identified himself as Dalton Bird. Officer discovered marijuana, Oxycodeone, Alprazolam (more commonly known as Xanax), and items related to the sale and distribution of marijuana.
Guests staying in two rooms near Bird's were relocated due to the smell.
Bird was transported to the Forest County Jail.
He is free on $1,000 cash bond and will return to court on October 2.
