A Wisconsin Rapids man convicted of threatening two judges in Wood County will spend 15 years in prison for sending threatening letters to the jury who found him guilty.
Donald W. Maier, 50, is charged with 10 counts of stalking after writing the letters in November 2011. He was found guilty of six of the 10 counts. He pleaded not guilty to the charges in December 2011.
Maier will also spend 12 years on extended supervision.
In February 2005, Maier threatened Wood County judges Edward Zappen, Jr. and James Mason. A jury found him guilty in March 2006 and he was sentenced to two years in prison.
