A convicted sex offender is scheduled to be released from prison after serving a 10-year sentence for sexually assaulting a child.
The Wausau Police Department said in a news release, Frank Pelky, 69, will reside near the Marathon County Courthouse beginning Dec. 10.
Pelky was convicted of 2nd degree sexual assault- use force or threaten use of force, and 2nd degree sexual assault of a child.
He will remain on extended supervision until 2023.
