Convicted Sex Offender Accused of Re-offending 4 Months after Release

A convicted sex offender now charged with 1st degree sexual assault of a child, child enticement and intimidating a witness has asked for a new judge.

Gerald Schleisner Jr. is accused of having sexual contact with a 13-year-old just four months after completing a three year extended supervision sentence.

Wednesday in Forest County Circuit Court Schleisner's attorney requested a lower bond, the state asked that it be increased to $60,000. A judge ordered that Schleisner' bond remain the same at $20,000 cash.

Schleisener was convicted in Milwaukee County in 2007 of 1st degree sexual assault of a child. He was sentenced to three years in prison, and three years extended supervision.

The alleged victim told police Schleisner said he'd 'shank' her in the back if she told her mother. According to court documents, Schleisner said he did not mean he would stab her, but rather 'have' her back.

Schleisener remains behind bars in the Forest County Jail.

No future court dates will be set until a new judge is appointed to the case.

A 33-year-old convicted sex offender is facing new charges in Forest County after he's accused of having sexual contact with a 13-year-old just four months after completing a three year extended supervision sentence.

Gerald Schleisner Jr. is expected to be charged with 1st degree sexual assault of a child, child enticement and intimidating a witness.

According to the criminal complaint Schleisner had inappropriate contact with a 13-year-old girl at Crandon home on Feb. 26.

The alleged victim told police Schleisner said he'd 'shank' her in the back if she told her mother. According to court documents, Schleisner said he did not mean he would stab her, but rather 'have' her back.

Schleisener was convicted in Milwaukee County in 2007 of 1st degree sexual assault of a child. He was sentenced to three years in prison, and three years extended supervision.

Schleisener remains behind bars in the Forest County Jail. He expected to be formally charged during an initial appearance Wednesday.
