Those heading through Green Bay this summer may encounter some delays and tours as a major construction project got underway this week.
The DOT is improving the Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge area and a nearly four-mile stretch of portions of the I-43 corridor including repairing three bridges, improving local intersections, and replacing deteriorating pavement. According to WLUK-TV, during the majority of construction, north and southbound I-43 will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction.
The project is expected to be completed by July 2013.
