The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department is seeking information after several cases of vandalism were reported over the weekend.

The first incident took place either late Saturday or early Sunday on County Road C, east of State Hwy 17 in the Town of Schley, northeast of Merrill, where suspects knocked over several barricades and broke off seven flashing amber lights used to mark them.

The lights were smashed all over the road.

Thirteen mailboxes were found damaged in the Town of Scott, southwest of Merrill, on Fairview Road, Tannery Road and Creek Avenue. Deputies believe they were most likely damaged by a passing vehicle.

Anyone with information on either case is asked to call the sheriff's department at 715-536-6272 or Crime Stoppers at 715-536-3726.
