Moving from winter to spring also means peak season for construction here in Wisconsin, and you can bet on another busy summer as far as lane and ramp closures go.
Two big projects in the Village of Rothschild headline the construction season. March 25th begins the improvements to exit 185, with the north bound ramp to I-39 closing, as well as other lane closures.
The other project will shut down westbound to Highway 29, providing ramp and lane closures as well. These construction projects could affect travel for the next couple of years.
Village President, George Peterson said, “This construction will impact traffic for the next 3 years. We can count on it impacting us from 2013 through 2015.”
Village Supervisors say the majority of delays will be at night, as the DOT is trying to accommodate the needs of the area.
Drivers are still urged to plan ahead, and know the right detours for where you are headed.
