Communities all over Northcentral Wisconsin are using today to honor those that have served our country.
It was a fitting tribute to veterans in Wausau this morning at the annual Memorial Day Parade.
It ran from Marathon Park to the Wausau VFW post, where it concluded with a wreath laying ceremony.
Hundreds turned out to enjoy the parade, and for many that were there, the day served as an opportunity to pay tribute to those that have given so much.
"It is always an honor to at least do this thing once a year. So many times we get so busy that we get wrapped up in our own lives and we forget those that served before us." says Wausau resident Judy Lamb.
Veterans and current members of all different branches of the military were represented at today's parade.
